Default Sweet German Sticker...What does it mean?

I found this metallic sticker/plack today when "cleaning up" my spare tire area.

I'm assuming it has something to do with the collapsable spare?

Where is it supposed to go?

don't drive faster than 50 MPH on your spare, inflate it to 36 PSI

Yeah, pretty much. Just read the English lines...

My donut (VW) has it on the rim itself, on the outside. Since yours fell off, i'd just leave it where you found it.

Just a wild guess but going by the English translation thats right there on it I'd say it goes on the "collapsible tire"!

"admissible top speed" may mean for gods sake don't exceed this speed.

No idea what "tire pressure" means...

Yeah, heed that warning well, Nelson... I've had to use the spare to get me back to Cinci from last year's Fest... Damn it all if I should ever have to use it again, but it's safely tucked away right back where it went.

Tenacious_G - Ha, i don't have the damned air compressor, so it's pretty useless to me at this point. Thus my "cleaning"

Thanks for the info, guys!

I don't either -- my dad was caravanning with me, though, and he had it -- otherwise, yes, the spare tire would have been as useful as an elephant with a sniper rifle.

Yeah, the caravan headed back from last year's fest was doing 80 on average. You don't HAVE to stay at 50 mph... But I wouldn't recommend going above it.

What does Vitesse max mean in whatever language that is? Or was porsche just prediciting aftermarket computer support with their spare tire stickers 20 years in the past?

French for "maximum speed."

No wonder they say anyone who speaks German sounds angry. I tried saying "zulassige hochstgeschwindgkeit." Fun stuff.
