Default Hub/Bearing Race Help

I had difficulty getting the races out of the hubs. I managed to do it but this is what the hub looks like now. Will this be a problem?

is that where the race sits? Just make sure the race sits all the way in and flat- if thats inbetween the bearings dont worry about it but clean up the lip that the race sits on.

Dan, it is where the race sits and is inbetween the inner and outer bearings. How do I clean it up? Should I bring to a machine shop?

Thanks for the speedy response.

i would say if you have some files and maybe some sand paper handy i would file it down so there are no high spots where the race sits then press it back in. Should be fine as long as it seats properly. Could also use a dremel tool easily.

Dan, it doesn't look that bad, just make sure the backlash is flush. Call me if you need help.

Ok. Thanks. Will try a dremel and then drive it to Purdys.

I wouldn't go in there with anything power. If I'm reading your signature correct, those are turboS hubs. Not cheap and easy to replace.
I would take a litle sand paper and debur it by hand. SHould take 5 min and a sure way you doing hit or mark anything. It really doesn't look that bad

As for next time, invest in a brass punch to use. A screw driver is not the correct tool... Also, read in the manual how to correctly put the new races in. If I remember, you should heat the hub...

Brass punches, in my case, where way too soft. Pay a machine shop a few bucks... but for this instance, debur by hand!!! All will be fine - as stated, get the high spot off so the race can sit flush.
