wow man...you've got ***** i gotta say...good job!!
someday when i have a cheap n/a or something to drive every day...i'm going to completely pull my car apart, down the the bare chassis, and completely respray it and redo all of the sound deadening and undercoating...i might even rewire the whole damn thing and rework the suspension/drivetrain a little while i'm at it...
we can dream right?

Wow, very nice thread!
I came across it about a month and a half ago while browsing and now decided to get an account. So...first post!![Big Grin](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
I've been doing a restoration/ressurection project of my own on a 1983 944. Also with a loooooong to-do list. Awesome progress ! It's well worth it.

Thanks for the encouragement, on the home stretch with the interior.
Firewall hole now plugged.

The stock foam liner had this styrofoam integrated into it to give form to the bottom of the foot well. Kind of a backstop. The carpet I got from a later car I believe is cut shorter than the early carpet. So I am building it out with some more foam.

Second layer of dampener material.

A heat gun really helps lay this stuff down esp. over textured areas.

Sparco seat brackets for stock sliders I have been fabing up. Almost done just need some hardware and a few welds to strengthen them. So far about 60 bucks in materials of which I picked up at Lowes. When I'm all finished with this Ill post the materials list in the other thread I started.

My replacement carpets didn't have a pad and since my old ones were ruined I picked this up cheap at Lowes.

I tried using some regular carpet glue but it doesn't dry unless you can get air to it. Seems 3M trim adhesive worked best for mating the carpet up to the pads.

Welded in new sheet metal, cleaned it all and sealed with POR15. Then sealed it again with seam sealer on top and bottom.

Now that I have the floor sealed up Ill be mounting the other seat and hopefully have some pics with seats installed tomorrow. Yay! While out enjoying the sun today I actually ran into two other Cincy listers which was a nice surprise.

It came time to install my new head unit, my Radio/Sunroof relay has a bad radio portion. I checked to make sure there were no bad resistors in it but repairing it was beyond my capabilities. This means the switched 12v (red w/ blue striped wire was not getting current / should come on when key goes into off position in ignition lock) so instead of dropping 120 dollars for a new Porsche relay I spent 6 dollars at Autozone for a standard Bosch type 4 prong relay.
I pulled the 12v switched out (single red w/ blue striped wire) out of the Radio Relay plug and plugged it up to terminal 87 on the new Bosch relay. Then jumpered over ground to terminal 86, 12v constant (two red w/ blue striped wires) to pin 30, and finally the ignition control signal (red wire w/ black stripe & connector on it) to pin 85.

It fits up there nicely with the existing one with just a few zip ties.

Now finally I have some tuneskies!

Thanks for the encouragement Luis you have been here from the start
Now that Ive had the cover a while you are right it is much much better than what I had. I don't think anyone else but us enthusiasts would notice.
Fiero is gone, too many projects and not enough time or money. It was a fun ride though and a joy to work on. I needed to get rid of it so I could focus more on the 944.

Next step is to part this stuff out, too bad it won't bolt up to the 2.5![crying](https://rennlist.com/forums/graemlins/bigcry.gif)

I think her and I have struck a compromise with the 944.
