Dude - you could sell the TRANSMISSION..........JUST THE TRANSMISSION for $1000.

A lot of guys race 951's, so the parts prices are very high, and the cars are FINALLY starting to escalate in value.

Ordinarily I'd agree, but why get a thousand dollar car checked out? You already know it's got issues. It's just a question of whether you want to deal with them.

What are you trying to do with the car? If you are restoring it to concourse, then I would pass. For just about all other purposes, I would buy it sight unseen. In fact, if there are 10 complete 944 turbos for $1000 each, I buy all of them regardless of mechanical condition. Heck, I probably would buy it even if its rolled over.
