I used at least 6 coats of clear when I painted my D90's anthricite. Ya may want to hit it with more coats -- it will give it a deeper shine.

well the Dupont chromabase clear is meant to cover like 5-6 coats w/ only two. Believe me- three coats and youll have runs. Every time. THanks for the compliments guys.

- hey Vinnie- i know its cold out but you may want to open a window and call Duke.

You gotta stop running into things. That usually makes the wheels last longer.

I agree with jesse - theyd look pretty cool powder coated. might be a little more resistant to the brake dust too. - thats not to say that they dont look great right now though

Looks fantastic!

I'm going to copy you (at least on the lips, still thinking dark center for my red car) - what kind of paint did you use?

i ran my last set of phones w/ the exact same paint for three years on the track and autox and a wet rag and a hose the brake dust wipes right off. Honestly, i like the way powdercoating looks but in my experience its no tougher than regular automotive paint.

If you are mounting tires up this week, I guess that means you don't need that spare 16X8 that I have? If not I'm going to put it up for sale...........

it is a good thing Dan lives in the "burbs". if he lived in the big city he would be king of graffiti artists.
