I've been thinking of getting an MSD coil or one like this, will there be any noticable diffrence on an otherwise mostly stock engine? I suppose the question is why get one?

i couldnt tell you, when i removed the coil, i did a bunch of other things at the same time, so any benefit this coil may have had was hidden by getting rid of vaccum leaks, cleaning injectors, etc. etc.

I guess it gives you the optimum spark performance under high loads, i see some track cars and stuff switching to them.

I could copy and paste some stuff from google that jocobs advertises though

i have a complete set of Jacobs 8.5mm wires i am replacing off my current car (these wires are blue, my color scheme is red/silver. Stupid reason maybe but whatever) car was running with them.

i will throw in the set of wires for another $40 or give you one of your choice in length if you buy the coil.

the wires are kinda dirty, so they are black and blue now. The short wire, mind you, might be tricky for this coil. On my old car it was mounted on the shock tower, there was a spare set of wires in the back seat, and they were using the long wire for cylinder 4 to reach the coil from the cap.

Yeah, I had the jacobs system laying around with the Ignition Box and the Ultra Coil, but I didnt have the right wire to connect the ultra coil since it doenst use the same style boot as the original coil. I ended up picking up a swap in Jacobs Energy Coil, but i've always wanted to put my ultra coil in. I just need the single wire, i have the exact blue jacobs wires you are talking of, just not the right one to connect the coil. If you would be willing to part with maybe the #1 or #2 plug wire that would be great, but i understand if you dont want to break up the package.

if someone is buying the coil and needs a long wire, i will give them one of the longer wires with it, and will keep the other wires for troubleshooting
