Some of you may remember my thread back in december when my 944S got hit in my highschool parking lot. Well their insurance is paying for it, and the shop is the most highly reccomended by my local porsche mechanic and family friend of my parents. They are replacing the whole back right quarter panel, and it just got here from germany on sunday, so my car finally got to go in. $4000 obo of damage. Now I have to drive around my top heavy 2004 chevy tahoe lt, which will be used every weekend for snowboarding until my car gets fixed. I will have to admit the tahoe breaks the tires loose alot easier than my car
Hey, I hear ya. my 951 is still in the garage from our first blizzard a month and a half ago. all the main streets are dry, it's just that initial 50 feet to get from my driveway to the street... icy as hell, and it'd be too much of a PITA to move it because of my tires.
I might take mine to the dealer tomorrow to get parts for the 924S... debating whether or not to risk the ice... but for now, I've got the battery charging.
If it's any consolation, I haven't driven my '83 in a little over a year... although come spring time I'll be driving her with around another 100 horses.
i hate being 17, all of this time away fro my car has given me too much time thinking about what it would be like boosting an e30, or getting an audi to go snowboarding whenever i please........
Just go do some doughnuts in the snow with your tahoe. Or drive on some dirt road that makes use of the ground clearance. Or ferry kids to soccer practice. That'll keep your mind busy.
