a 944 w/ lsd rear and narrow winter tires is a very tractable car in snow as well.

Known this for years. the 924S has been Daily driven 10 years- best heat in any car ever.

Cold, dense air is good for the engine, but bad for air drag. I.e. good for low speed, bad for high speed.

Just think what salt will do the the aluminum components, calipers, brake lines, fuel lines, fuel tank, etc, etc, etc. How many cars have been painted after 20 years....90 plus %? Car cancer is inevitable if your car runs on salted slushy roads. Period.

These cars have a very good undercoating on them, buy galvinized steel does rust, only at a slower rate than non-galvinized steel.

Now, a Delorean is stainless steel...hmmm.

That's far more than compensated for by the extra power made. The cars can literally change output by more than 30whp in temp swings.

I won't drive if the roads have been sanded and salted. Too grimey.
