Very nice work. Did anyone else notice the detail of the rub strip decal on the top of the NASCAR bars? That'll keep that bar looking nice for quite some time. It really looks like the builder cares about his work.

Wow, is right! Very nice! I did notice the clear protective strip on the door bars to make the paint last longer. Speaking of paint, they must have painted the majority of the tube before welding it in, then touched up the ends, judging by how close it is to the a_pillar (too close to tape off). What kind of material is it, moly, DOM, and what size diameter and wall (ie: 1 3/4 .095). Again, congratulations on your purchase.

I had the door bars built so it would be as easy as possible to get a 6'4" guy out .It is only slightly harder to get in and out then before.1 -3/4 120 wall tubing .check back later.

Marty, that is a thing of beauty with massive amounts of functionality! Nice and tight fitting. Did you have to take out the interior for the builder to put the cage in?
Noticed the pedals as well....are they Rennline? Do you have a spacer under the gas pedal as well?
Take care and enjoy!

Wow - that is incredibly clean. Makes me want to go remake my rollbar b/c its crap in comparison.
Anyways, as long as youre harnessed in, I think the cage is fine for street. I'd be wary using stock seatbelts - I know my head has hit the ceiling over some large road imperfections using stock seatbelts. Would have been a lot less pleasant with a big hunk of metal in the way.

Charlie, most of the interior was removed. Rennline peddles.Spacer is so I can heel-toe with size14's.
Dan,the builder is McMahan motorsport(the roll cage guy).Does 50+ rollcages a year.In my opinion is one of the best around.Got lucky and got an opening.Mark is a wealth of knowledge, very helpful and very, very good at his trade. He was an art major. You know his medium.
Thanks for the praise,
Marty

Looks great Marty - look forward to seeing it at the track this year. McMahon does phenomenal work and is very reasonably priced. Another local guy had a 944 cage done a month or so ago and had it posted on the Racing forums:

Marty, if you do not mind how thick was the spacer you used under the gas pedal? And it just under the gas pedal? I struggle with getting my foot (size 14-15) orientated correctly to use my heel to blip the gas, so I end up using the upper right part of my foot to hit the gas while breaking.
Thanks pal!

My cage is much more amature-ish, but thought I'd share pictures anyway.
Like someone else said, I did a lot of painting before hand, then after it was installed, touched it up (and did the side bars).
The diagonal brace is removable so I can take a passenger @ DEs.

Very nice cage and professional install! I like how the front part goes into the vents. I must have miss this, but is it an Autopower cage?

Please add in seat back braces. All Aluminim seats need seat back braces to be effective.
I like it otherwise.
