Default What to change between dyno pulls?

I'm scheduled to have my '86 944 NA dynoed Saturday, for the first time since I've owned it. 3 pulls, $50.00 (a PCA special at Eurowerks in Charlotte).

Fortunately the car is running good and pulling strong since I've owned it. I am scheduled to have a four wheel alignment Wednesday, prior to the dyno. The left rear tire is wearing because the toe is out.

A single pull is still $50.00 so I have two more "free" pulls.

What are the typical changes made between runs?

I didn't know that Euroworks had a Dyno? Do you know if you can still get in?

Eurowerks is bringing a dyno in for this day. See page six of Tobacco Roads

OT If you are a PCA member, my article on the upcoming Spring Tour is on page 18. Only 30 rooms available (all reserved for the Carolina Region PCA) at Pipestem Resort and State Park, WV for that weekend. Any extra rooms will be made available the the Blue Ridge Region and the Shenandoah Region on April 1. We'll have a live band Saturday night and the poker run will have a $300.00 cash prize. You heard it first here on Rennlist.

Maybe test aircleaners, i.e. K&N vs. stock or exhaust systems if you have the time and patience.

My car had two ecu/klr's so I swapped those out between runs.

Yep,
Run 3 pulls to check A/F ratio and power levels. Leave it at that. All 3 will be a little different.

Yes, all three pulls will be different but if he wants to test different bits and pieces, now is the best time to do it. I have heard that cone airfilters can actually make less hp than stock and if there are other changes that are being considered (exhaust, chip, etc.) take advantage of the cheap dyno time and test everything out.

You need to do 2-3 runs to get a consistent dyno number. The 1st pull is usually off. The 2nd and 3rd are usually pretty close. That is what they mean when they say 2-3 pulls for whatever price.

If you want to test something else like an airfilter, then you will need to do another 2-3 pulls after your baseline pulls (2-3)

Makes sense. I did 2+2 pulls with the stock and chipped ECU.
