Tony's car (BlueS2) is Cobalt.

I think it was a 91 only color on 944's. My brother's 1992 968 Cab is cobalt. Great color.

 

I now know what color I'll paint my car if I paint it another color.

 

I've only seen one in person, an S2 bought new from dealer, still owned in the area by the original "bought it off the showroom floor" owner.

Personally, I've always loved the Cobalt Blue S2. Great looking car!

 

My 94 turbo is Cobalt. Greatest color Porsche ever used IMO. It changes all sorts of colors. There are actually 3variations of this color.

There was a 968 I was looking at locally but the seller never responded to my inquiries. Depending on light it can look dark blue to purple pink.

If i ever respray-

well, no, i'll never respray over pearl white, i think that's actually a mortal sin.

but if i ever buy a 951 or S2 in a color other than black, i'll respray it that green that i think duke's car is (or used to be?) or cobalt.

goddamn, that's a sexy color.

 

You wouldn't mean Amazon Green by chance that is another great color. My second favorite. Is your car Pearl white? You don't see many Porsche's in Pearl white, very cool color also.

there you go, i think it's amazon green, and that's a color that makes my pants fit funny.

and yeah, it's pearl white. i think there was a 928 special ordered in that color, but only a handfull of 951's are in pearl white, and all are promotional packages from '86, and they came with burgundy inteiror and i think white fuchs.

mine are black, though, but i think i'm going to try and get them painted white.

 

that is a sweet color- reminds me of a color that 90's corvettes came in. I sprayed a 53 chev truck that color.

 

Yeap, There was 1 GTS and 2 94 turbo S's made in pearl white at a cost of something like $16k-$19k extra for the paint. These are cars worth holding on to, very nice and unique. I love the Amazon green and flop back and forth between which color I like better. The GTS looks great in Amazon and the turbo in Cobalt. I am not sure how it would be the other way around. My GTS is one of 9 US cars in this color and the only one with Cashmere interior and the turbo is one of 2 US 94's, mine has black interior and the other has 2 tone gray. I love rare colors. I bet you get a lot of attention with teh pearl white.

most of them look like alpine, but in person- holy crap.

yeah, i get some attention. mostly it's from driving something that no one even knows exists.

the numbers vary between 8 and 16-18 for Pearl White 951's, but i know they're a promotional package and probably among the first to come over.
