i know this is a stupid question but how do u get the sunroof out i dont want to break something and i have a feeling lol that theres an easy way

With the car off, you press the switch and the little arms retract away from the roof. Then you unclip the front clips and push up. Easy

 

what year is your car? IF its 85.5 you have to put the key into the #1 position meaning the first click from totally off- then press the sunroof button and it will either go up, or the arms will retract out of the roof- Then you can unclip the front and push it up and pull back and itll slipp off of the air foil in the front.

 

i just tried to push it out while it was tilted up and didnt work its a 1984 also
please let em know i wanna get this thing out

 

It will not come out when the arms are up. You need to lower the arms so that they come out of the clasps in the rear, then push up.

 

You have to get it to the closed position, then put the ignition in position #1 and press down or up, can't remember, anyway only one direction will work at this point. You will see the arms completely retract, then you can unlatch the front and remove it.

A search would have also turned up a bunch of posts with the answer.

 

that isnt working though there are 3 little arms in the way and i dont want to push to hard it feels like is gonna break there has got to be an easier way can someone give me step by step
i unlatched the two pieces over the driver head and passenger head
and now is the sunroof supposed to be tilted up or down i put it down and it wouldnt budge do i have to unscrew something

Here are some options:

as stated above with fingers crossed, rabbit's foot in pocket and whispering praises to the Almighty.

if all fails, search SidVicious and go manual.

 

1) pay attention

2) with the car off and the sunroof completely closed insert your key in the ignition.

3) move the key to the accessories position (DON'T TURN THE CAR ON)

4) Press your sunroof switch until the ARMs retract don't open your sunroof , what you want to do is keep it close and retract the arms so you can pull the sunroof out.

5) disconnect 2 front latches, sunroof should be free to remove.

There is not such thing like 3 arms, there is only 2 latches at the front and 2 arms at the end.
