Track day is the best way.
Hey once you have spent 35 min going wheel to wheel 100% racing arond a track chasing the car infront 2" off his bumper and taking 30 mph turns at 80 going "fast" on the street is rather ho hum.
There is just no need to go fast on street anymore.

You gotta be cognizant of times it's safe to drive faster. I love cranking the sh*t out of my (and others') cars and everything, but I do it on local roads or roads that appear as if they are almost never trafficked. My friends all think I'm completely insane, but I've never had an accident or speeding ticket and almost none of them can say that.
This doesn't apply to the poster, but I gotta vent some side-seat driver frustration...discretion is very important and so is being very aware while you're driving. If one can't be aware of something as simple as his speed at all times (I don't usually look at my speedo for long periods of time and I deviate maybe 1-2mph) I think that individual has no business driving excessive speeds, particularly on public roads where you not only need to be aware enough to keep the car on the road but also of any unexpected encounters with animals, pedestrians, and saw mills. I notice two things generally contribute to speeding tickets: drivers whose driving sense is equatable to someone going "der der der" (the majority of licensed U.S. drivers) OR people who feel compelled to nail it because they wanna get the ya-yas out in the wrong places.

I went 3 and a half years and didn't get it, driving a porsche too being 16-20, that's pretty good i think.. I drove pretty slow anywhere but backroads for the first 3 years, the last 6 months i got a little careless. Not excessive, but 65 in 50 zones like everyone else, just being among the faster people.. then i was going 45 in a 50 for 5 miles one morning becaus ei was tired and lazy, and then someone cuts me off and i had to take the next exit so first instinct was to accelerate and get around them, of course I get caught.
Will be wiped off the record with clean driving record, but it feels like 3 years down the tubes.
