I want to drive your car so bad.

Well, your car is pretty much an 83 with a late dash, since you deleted all the power stuff that an 83 doesn't have.

Although I like the standard late leather seats I bought off eBay and installed, I wish I had saved and recovered my ripping sport seats in black cloth. Those were nice. The Rennlist buyer got a great deal on those.

A 924S is....
the mechanicals and rear suspension of a late 944
...with the front suspension, engine accessories and interior (with white numbers on the gauges) of an early 944
...in a body with 924 fenders

They make great daily drivers!

I think I'm the only wacky-doodle on here to love a "lowly" early '85 n/a more than a 951, but I have to admit, she's my favorite of all my fleet. Something about the "raw-ness" of it. The 951 is a great car (and I get out of it with my heart pounding going "damn!" regularly), but it's much more refined - maybe TOO refined. The 944 n/a is just seat-of-the-pants simplicity and raw driving pleasure.

Just had to say it. . . I'll never ever ever ever EVER sell that car - silly though it may be. It simply suits me too well.
+1
Well put.
Except for me it was between my early 85 NA, and my 968.

the late interior feels much nicer to me. The early interior looks way too outdated even for the 944.

I like manual steering also so that is a plus with early cars.

I personally would get an S or S2 for a 944 na, most power engine for the na = more fun.

I know exactly what you mean. And I feel really lucky to have found the 944.

When I was shopping around for a car, I was just looking for most any old sports car, and had to buy one within a week since my old car went kaput. And then I saw a 944 on a dealer lot, and knew right away that it was the car for me. They don't come up for sale in this area very often, so it was sheer luck that I got into the 944.
