Ok, we will see about the clock spring.
Look at this

When pressing the horn, is the airbag moving or just the cover? And where does the horn contacts attach?

Sorry, missed the horn contact question.
The airbag frame mounts with spring loaded screws, it's the frame that actual makes contact with the horn wiring.

Based on this thread I created a very detailed thread on my install.
Lots of pictures and more details. It's not hard, and I love it!

I am honored by your bump sir!
Here's the current state of the wheel, added a leather air bag cover and modified a Tiptronic wheel to control the stereo:

Just feel like a bump for this stunning car.
I had the pleasure of meeting Greg and his incredibly maintained 951 at the Lafayette, CO Cars & Coffee, last weekend (a year since this thread was updated).
What a stunning car. I really prefer the natural tan interior to the black that I have on my Guard's/India red. And the gloss carbon treatment on the HVAC trim bars really pop.
In a crowd including multiple McLarens, Lamborghinis, Porsches and Ferraris, Greg's 951 drew many admirers.
