I know where there is a 17" set on a red 951. I also know the owner's favorite is 968 rims. I also know the tires on the 951 probably wont last all of next season.

Whadda ya got?

Dan,
How much and how long to make my 89 NA shine like that? I could make $.20 a mile driving to florence in a few months.

Tom, if you want to maybe we can trade then. The set I could trade are the ones i used at the last couple of auto-x's. Black with the silver trim..the rear tires are completely shot, fronts have a bit of life left. But i would defenetley replace them.

How much life is left on the tires? You know me and used tires.

I'd really like a set of the 17 inch Cup 1s....I could trade some 16 inch phones, plus the 16 inch turbo phones I've got...plus a mint 4 spoke wheel...

Talk to me in the spring Jon. I know there is life on the tires, and i plan on DEing the life out of em. When it is time to replace tires I may go back to 16s for no good reason at all other than i have 16s on the NA.

I wonder how much it is going to cost me to trade you my wheels and tires for your wheels and tires that i gave you.

Haha Tom.. the tires you gave me are on the D90's ive got. Those are the official summer tires . The black 968's i have now are going to be my winter wheels. Whenever we trade, ill make the C2's the summers and make the D90's the track wheels.

Looking good. I dig the cup 1 look. The cup 2's look too girly to me. Cup 1's are nice and beefy.

I need a set of OEM 17" cup 1's for the track. Preferably a bit scratched/curbed (but still strait) to keep the price down. If someone has a set local in SoCal, I'll offer a ride in the completed 951 (few months off) as a bonus.

havent gotten to paint anything yet, still working on the nose panel. Did get my MO30 bars on today and its getting an alignment this week. Would be nice to drive it without wrestling w/ the wheel.

The main confusing thing is that cup1's are also called C2's....
Basically, Cup1's are more flat, Cup2's are rounded/curved.

CupI's
CupII's

The of course you have the turbo twists, boxster twists, turbo replica twists....

Yeah, I used to goof those up too. The key is that the cup 1's (subject of this thread) are "C2" because they came on the "C2" or 911 Carrera 2 (2WD).

I'm planning to repaint my track-only cup 1's in the same dark bronze MPD47 has on his cup 2's...
