Okay, you guys keep twisting my arm...

Here's the NEW SCOOP:

Units will be ready to ship Dec 1st! Unit will be USB native, no need for a serial->usb adapter. Unit will still be priced at 250.00 USD.

Okay, now the really fun part, for people who don't have my software who want to put their existing chips on this unit I will sell you the unit and loan you an eprom reader with instructions on taking your existing chip, reading it to your computer via USB, and then writing it to the new break-out box. Then when I release the tuning software you can start playing with it. Then if other vendors want to incorporate web based updates like I'm doing they will have that capability. Everybody wins!

Russell, put me in line for one of these! It will make changing out software for emissions testing a breeze! Is it going to plug into both the ECU and KLR? Will you still be offering tunning? Santa is on the way you know....

Oh I will always do tuning, this is just an easier/better way of doing it. And the cost of tuning upgrades will come down as well. You change mods or need a new tune, you order it right online, download it, and dump it in your car. BAM!

Yep, still on target for Dec 1st. A few setbacks because my tester had medical emergencies in his family, but we're back on track now. The 944MAX V1 chip will be at the dyno tomorrow morning, and when I get that read out V2 is going out to two testers, then that should be dyno'd by the end of next week. I won't know if there needs to be a V3 to be tested until I have feedback from V2. But again, V1 is being dyno'd tomorrow.

Onward and upward...

question 1-

so if i already have your chips, and i buy this, will this allow you or someone else to be able to tune for larger injectors, etc?

question 2-

can you make something so when my laptop is plugged in, it will read-

"WARNING- DANGER TO MANIFOLD!!"

?

if i have your chips, but they're not installed yet, should i just wait for this dealie to pop 'em in all at once?

2) more like "TUNER GENERAL WARNING: THIS DEVICE CAN SEVERLY DAMAGE YOUR CAR, BANK ACCOUNTS, CREDIT CARDS, AND PERSONAL RELATIONSHIPS!!"

3) if you plan to buy this, yeah, why get into the ECU more often than you have to. If you already have my chips and buy this it will come to you pre-loaded with your chip already on it. I keep a file with your name on it for every chip I sell. As of right now there's a little over 100 files in that directory. And you guys have been a big part of that, once again, I'd like to thank you all for using my products!

Hmmm, while I'd love to have your money, I don't see the advantage for you to give me money now and wait until December for the unit, as opposed to just waiting and paying in December and having the unit ship then.

Are you afraid I'll run out of Maxtronic boxes?
