Anyone know of a part source for a rubber gasket that attaches the AFM to the back of the air cleaner on a 944S? Mine has gotten a little dy rotted

You could always get some gasket material and cut one out with a razor........

It's not the flat gasket but the "circular rubber cap" that holds the back of the air cleaner to the front of the AFM. A large hose clamp holds it in place. Thanks for all the feed back.

Actually, for an S, these are the pages I think you need:

(I think you are looking for part 3 in the first pic - 944 110 014 16 - "connecting hose")

I have found that for parts like these, the dealer is often as cheap as anywhere else, FWIW... A good source for OEM parts at competitive prices is Sunset

Called the dealer today for this piece of rubber. $42 from the dealer. Think I'll go with tape here.

That IS expensive. It's weird how some parts are reasonable and others are off the scale. Oh well.

That's too much for this part. I've tried a bunch of different sources, and, for the "S", I've had the best luck with 944 On-Line (I think it's
HTML Code:
http://www.944online.com/
). They seem to know the car best and have more "S" specific parts in stock, by far. The guys at Paragon are great, too, but they often have to order out for 16V parts.
