Aside from that, there are a few routines in the code where the stock air temp is polled/used, not everywhere. So there will still be a variance.

what if someone (you) made us a little box that could change the output of the IAT sensor.

It does feel like the inexpensive is slipping away.

I seriously think two or four appropriatly sized single barrel carbs would be pretty cool - with velocity stacks and wire filters!

Webers? Well weld up a short runner intake!

Personally, I like velocity stacks...

Let's make the stacks adjustable. We can call it "VarioRam".

Wait, so are you saying that if i can get my hands on one of these MAFs, that it will literally plug right into my stock harness and work? Just not very well I presume? I am very anxious to see your results.

Do the 8V 2.5 liter & 16V 2.5 liter use the same AFM?

I think it'll kinda-sorta work if you wire in the Ford MAF, but mostly for part throttle closed-loop (corrected by the O2 sensor) and for part of the full-throttle map where the curves are pretty close. You could drive around but I think it'd be lean at lower RPM full-throttle. Probably burn up or poop the plugs after some spirited driving. Just my guess.

BTW 16v (S and S2) use the same AFM, different from the NA AFM.

For an intake area, you want low pressure. As the pressure drops, air speed increases. Cold-air intakes aren't looking for high pressure zones, but free flow-streams and lots of it. That being said, I'm not sure about the 951s having a low-pressure area there, as the factory ducting increases cross-section from the opening (which normally causes the flow to reduce velocity and increase pressure).

Either way, best of luck!

nose goes. Also that still would not properly compensate for environmentals.
