Question 6 months later I get into ANOTHER accident..need opinions

Hello all,
Some of you may remember seeing my past a few months back about me getting rear ended. Well yesterday as soon as I got off work I got hit again.
Tim I should have stayed and talked to you longer

Same thing as last accident, Im at a dead stop and someone slams into the back of me.

Now I have a few things that make this different.

1. I was just discharged from my therapist (2 weeks ago) and considered recovered from my previous accident (6 months ago).
2. My back is spasming and hurting like crazy, its like my old pains all over again.

I called my lawyer and she laughed. I'm goign to go see her today for her advise. I'm aware that any advice she gives me is going to be in my (and her) best interest. So i'm asking a 3rd party.

Do you think I should let the lawyer handle this accident too or should I just settle it myself?

the reason i said that is because if I let her handle it she can probably get me more money its just gonna take 6 months - year. where as me id getta quick settlement.

I'm in college and poor so desperation is in teh back of my mind.

Take another student loan & wait for the lawyer settlement. You can pay it off in full w/ zero intrest as long as you pay it in full with the money your lawyer gets you before you graduate.

And driving a Jeep, then 735 and Porsche?

I guess 'poor' is relative.

Good luck!

And you have a 735i and a 944?

You have nothing to lose by speaking with the insurance adjuster first. If it looks like you are going to get the shaft, you could then consider seeking representation.

I would be hesitant to settle quickly if you are really injured. If there are complications after you have signed a release and indemnity, you are on your own (unless it is open-ended for medicals, which is so rare to see it is almost non-existant).

you didn't post any pics of damage so it's hard to assess what you really have in the way of damage to the vehicle and yourself.

were you in traffic, stopped, on the hiway, on an on/off ramp?

rest assured, the insurance rep will have info about your last accident, which makes for a pre-existing condition.

too many rear enders and insurance co's start to wonder if you were checking someone's reflexes for following too close.
