Default Drain gas tank

What's the best way to do this? I was trying to syphon it out, using my shop vac to start it but the tubing isn't even getting to the gas.

I had a tank go bad.

you can pull the hose off the pump and use that. Simply crimp the hose, unscre the clamp from the hose into the the pump and away you go.

you can also pull the fuel tank screen. Just hop under the car and you'll see what I'm taking about.

ummmmmmm, take it to your local haz waste disposal center.... at the local dump most likely. My local one takes all sorts of nasties, from oil to antifreeze to gasoline, to paint and solvents - ALL FOR FREE!

Please do not dump many gallons of gas into the earth... call me an eco-freak or whatever but it's just not right.

umm, a 35 gallon trash can... how are you going to get that under your car? a 5 gal bucket is much easier to get under the car

Well when I was going to syphon it out that's what it was going in to. Now I'm going to see what the biggest drain pan I can get at work is.

meh, if you remove the fuel pump hose, there is no need to siphon.. its gravity fed

I realize the shop vac idea didn't work for you, but just in case anyone else is contemplating using a shop vac for gasoline or any other flammable liquid -- It can cause an explosion. Do not vac flammable liquids.

No No. I wasn't going to vaccum it into the shop vac. That's dumb and would **** up my shop vac. I was going to use it to pull the vaccum instead of, say my mouth, and then pull it off when it started coming.

Also at this point it's not really flamable anymore.

What, not flammable? Give it away but don't just dump it unless you are a pyro with no eyelashes or brows.
