I don't know if anyone else said this, but my wife got badly hurt when she tried sucking up gas with a shop vac. Please don't try that!

I have a 1958 corvette with 3 year old gas in it. It started right up last year. Not sure if I want to try without draining the gas this year. As you can see I get a whole lot of use out of the car.

HOLY CRAP........BATMAN!! Lets all get back on track here!

"I had a tank go bad"

What, and WHY do you say/think this?

IF, you need to drain the tank, the best way is to drain it out using gravity as your helper. Get the car up off the ground EVENLY, pinch the line off with one of those hose clamp tools made to do just this with, and remove the hose fitting that goes into the fuel pump, release the hose clamp till ya fill up WHATEVER your using for the collection tank, rid WHATEVER AMOUNT YA GET IN IT, dump it, screen it and put it in another car, container (use your imagination here.........it ain't to tough ya know), and get on with the business at hand.

"Wow. Gas can go bad in 60 days. My car can't ****in run at all cause the gas is so bad"

Well, I like to hear more about THIS diagnosis. The F word, is a good way to show your frustration, but also your level of intelligence. (not that I haven't used it myself, just not a good idea in print, on ANY post here.......got it?)

AGAIN, WHAT AND WHY do ya say........"I had a tank go bad"? Is it years old from sitting around? I think ya have other issues. Lets get more DETAILS of your issues!

How did the gas/tank get contaminated, as in, who pissed in it? Better yet, who loaded diesel in it?
