Default My 924S Suspension Upgrade Question...

Ok, I have decided that with my 944 going to be down for awhile that I am going to take the time to throw a upgraded suspension on my 924S plus a few other upgrades to help me cope with the downtime of the 944.

So far I have collected these items from the stockpile.
Front Koni M030 Adjustable Shocks
Rear Koni K26-1209Sport rear adjustables
S2 Strut Mounts
S2 24.5mm TorsionBars
Late (Turbo) Aluminum A-arms (Can I use them?)
M030 (968) Bushings for 30mm front and 19mm rear bar.
968 Casterblocks

Things I think I should buy to finish setup.
Weltmiester Red Bushings for A-arms
968 M030 Swaybars front and rear
Weltmiester 200# springs

What do you guys think?

Ohh.. I will also be adding a LSD to the Transaxle and gutting the catalytic converter (because its clogged) and swapping the Stock Muffler for a MAC Mustang muffler.

S2 T-bars are not worth it as an upgrade. stock was 23.5 mm so you gain liek 25 lbs -50 lbs of spring rate. Not worth it.

Late front control arms won't fit on the 924S unless you plan on adding 944 front fenders. 968 caster blocks cannot be used with the steel a-arms on the 924S.

s2 mounts shouldnt be used as they will be at a bind since the projectory of the strut is different....

I can do a T-bar swap in about 3 hours so its something I am going to do.

So even with the late offset that the 924S uses it still needs the early arms? If so I guess I will just use a set of early offset aluminum arms since I have both sitting here.

The 924S used early offset suspension parts with late offset wheels to fit the fenders right.

That doesn't make sense to me because all camber plates are made for 924/944/968 and KLA mounts are 924/944/968. Also, Paragon sells the older offset mounts as a "retro fit" kit to the newier offset cars. They talk about porsches design change is because of vibration reasons but no changes other then that.

Will the 968 30mm sway bar and it's bushings fit the 924S droplinks though?

Chris honestly I don't know. I am looking for the last peice of the puzzle of things to find and then I am going to pull the 944 motor again... Then I think I will get around to doing the suspension work on the 924S.
