Dash round 2 3 Spoke vs 4 Spoke Wheel
Which is your favorite 944 Stock Steering Wheel The Early 3 Spoke or the 4 Spoke. Or even the airbag wheels

well of the standard 944 wheels, I prefer the 4-spoke non-airbag wheel from the later cars; however my favorite Porsche wheel is the 930S wheel, and hopefully I'll have one of those on my car eventually

That looks a lot like the 930S wheel, but I think it's a 968 Club Sport wheel.
I really don't like either the 968CS wheel or the 930S wheel. My mom's 944 has the 3-spoke, my 944 was fitted with the 4-spoke, and my 968 has the airbag wheel. The 3-spoke looks the best, but the 4-spoke works a whole lot better. The position of the spokes, as well as the smaller diameter, make the wheel perfect for me. The 3-spoke wheel is too large.
The airbag wheel looks kinda inflated (duh), and the spokes are a little hard to put my fingers around, but the diameter is good.

I must say it's the BEST steering wheel bar none I have ever held in a Porsche. Makes the car feel like new, and there is no cheap plastic bits. ALL LEATHER!! The only thing that comes close is the plush & thick bmw latemodel M series wheels which are very similar.

As for the original post i like the 4 spoke wheel on the 85.5+ better, yet i have not owned an early car so i may be a bit biased on this...

Best price is from Sunset Imports in Oregon. Look in the PET to see if you can get one in the color matching your interior. I had bought a 930S wheel from DE Part Stop, and had to do some jury-rigging to get it to work properly. The leather on it was a very "pebbled texture" and I LOVED the feel. Then I found you can get the 968 CS wheel (different spline & horn ring) to match your interior color (mine's dark blue), so I ordered one from Sunset Imports. They said there were only 7 left in dark blue in the warehaus in Germany, so I guess, now theres only 6 there. The new one's leather is smoother (as pictured above) and a bit softer to the touch. I prefered the pebbled texture, but this is still way better than any momo or sparco wheel I've seen.
SamGrant has my old wheel and I think he'd agree that its a good substitute for viagra.
