I was about to order one from Sunset (The 968CS Wheel) but he seemed unsure if it will fit my early car.

 

If it will fit a late car, it will fit an early car. I had a 4-spoke wheel from an '86 turbo installed in my early '85 before I sold it. The spline pattern and shaft size are the same.

The only issue is the little tab that cancels the turn signal when you turn the wheel - you'll have to trasfer that over from your old wheel.

Oh believe me, I can't wait to get that dash shipped off to Pual for him to do his magic. I'm thinking of buying another early car for myself just so I can put a redone dash in there and enjoy.
