I was able to get into the website. Not much more than what you saw (at least for the 944; a few pics of steering wheels - both airbag and non). Here's the pricing info...

Holy crap, that steering wheel is gorgeus... Hmmm, wonder if there'd be a "group buy" discount

"Steering Wheel Restoration for the Porsche 944
$225.00 + $25.00 shipping in the US
This includes a new leather cover hand laced to your wheel, a French seamed leather cover for the horn pad or airbag, and the engraving of your choice.

All of our steering wheel covers are made of premium leather and are hand laced in the traditional cross stich pattern by my wife Linda."

I do apologize for the lack of 944 content. Hopefully, I will be able to add more as time goes on. I would invite you to visit the 928 side of the website. That will give you an idea of the work for every part of an interior.

I thought my price was exceptionally good

Thanks

Hi Paul, just curious why you don't show the airbag wheel on the 944 side...it's the same wheel?

Hey Greg,

thank you for pointing it out. That is simply an oversight that will be corrected shortly.

I plainly confess my lack of knowledge when it comes to the subtleties of these beautiful cars. Even though I always loved the 944 all through it's evolution, I've been somewhat confined to the 928 world for quite some time now.

I will definitely need the insight and knowledge of the members of this board when it comes to adapting my work to the 944.
I'm just offering my services as a craftsman and I am willing to adapt

Paul

No disparagement meant. Gorgeous work and there's little enough out there for the 944.

I would invite you to visit the 928 side of the website. That will give you an idea of the work for every part of an interior.
Heh, I'm afraid to look... I've got quite a few interior "look good" items on my list, and your steering wheel just moved to the #2 spot (after the dash). My wheel is actually in decent shape, just that yours is.... wow, words just can describe it.

You're right, price is good considering the labor involved, how good it looks and what new wheels go for.

Testarossa, excellent work, as always!

Sure, no problem. I've been following your work on the 928 board and have been pondering having you recover my airbag wheel to compliment the dash that Rob Budd did for me, which is why I asked.

Keep up the good work, I imagine you'll be hearing from me at some point soon.

It will be my pleasure Greg,

and I have tweaked the airbag model to make it even better. I'm also working on a two tone version that is also very nice.

Very nice work and fair prices. I wish I knew about you 2 years ago when I had my wheel redone. It cost me $250 just for the install of an AGLA cover and it doesn't look half as nice as yours.

Here is a shot of the wheel I did for the 928 GT that Greg was referring to:

On subsequent versions, I changed the natural contour of the airbag cover to remove the 2 dimples on each side.

And I am working on a black and cork leather version that should look very classy.

Paul: I haven't talked to you yet b/c I've been paralyzed by the possibilities...

All black w/black stitching
All black w/champagne stitching
All champagne
Black rim and champagne center, maybe with champagne stitching

Ah, decisions, decisions. And don't even get me started on engraved crests or a crest badge, etc.

Glad to know you were able to eliminate the bumps, I'm sure it looks even better
