Default I need a horn button spring retainer thingy!

the black plastic spacer thing that holds the spring on an early 4 spoke steering wheel horn button

mine broke and can't seem to locate this...if you have a broken or unused steering wheel that could spare this part i would appreciate it

I have an old brown one in the basement... Ill have to look at it to know what you are talking about.
Do you want me to try to break it off? Or do you want the whole wheel?
The horn worked when replaced but the leather is worn to hell.

Let me know.

Instead, you should in vest in a bumper sticker that says:
"Horn Broken, Watch for Finger"
I got one a few years ago for my friend who had a Formula Firebird that was completly neglected by the PO. The only things that worked that were elctrical were the headlights, dash lights and the stereo, for about 30 seconds every 2 weeks.
Regarding the spring, sorry, don't have a spare.

Wow this is an old thread... But YES, I need some!! Just broke one and I think the PO may have broken one too, because it's not there. Did you ever get around to machining them?

Thanks!!

Yeah, I should, but I need to do the belts rollers and waterpump first... That definitely takes priority. The wife will yell at me if I do both.

Well I ended up using epoxy to glue the grommets back together. Worked perfectly. But for anyone looking for them, 944online.com has them.
