Question 968 17x7.5 993 Cup wheels?

I've been trying to find the 993 Cup design wheels in 17x7.5. I've read that certain years of 968 came with this wheel in the front. Is this correct? Does anyone have a pair for sale or know of a likely source for a used pair?

Thanks for any help! -Jon

My '94 came with them as a factory 17" wheel option - 7.5 in front, 8.5 in back.
Sorry - you can't have them

Further searches in this forum say it was part of an M030 sport suspension option? Probably pretty rare then. Oh well...

The 993 Cup II wheels I think would only have come on '94 968s - available as the 17" wheel upgrade option, and also came with the M030 option. So yes, pretty rare.

jpk, check the casting numbers right next to the valve stems on your rear wheels, they should be 9" wide in back, not 8.5"

7.5 et 65: 993 362 124 05
8 et 52: 993 362 126 00
9 et 55: 993 362 128 00

What size fronts are on the 17" upgrade option - are the 7.5's or 8's. Were 8" wheels ever an option on the front of the 968? (M030)?

Those 17x7.5x65 fronts were also on 928GTS's, it seems.

The 968 came with a slightly different 5 spoke wheel. They were a 16 in wheel and available in different sizes 6 7 and 8 in. Wheel enhancements even gives the cars that the wheels originally shipped on but doesn't mention the 928 for any of them.

The 993 cup wheel is different. Came as 17x7.5 and 17x9. Again see below.

Lastly the cup 1 wheel which I have in my avitar photo were available in the same sizes as the 993 cup wheel.

Hope that helps,

Micheal

'94 and '95. I'd kill to get a pair of the 8's with an ET52. I have some 7.5/9's now though I use for my "rains". Taken off a '94 968 non-m030 (dads)

No 8's on the front Matt, sorry.
