Default 2006 Foliage run

What: Foliage run.
Where: Southern meet up Crowne Plaza exit 8 Nashua. Northern meet-up Gretch's compound*
When: September 30th ~11:00AM

Not going to make this one too complicated. We’re going to run through the White Mountains again. Weather is looking like an early season, hence the 30th, I’ve already seen trees turning up North.

For those of us south of the Arctic circle we'll meet at the Crown Plaza in Nashua. Take Exit 8 on Rte 3, you can't miss it. For the Eskimos who don't want to travel down to Nashua, meet at Gretch's compound*. We'll leave the Crowne Plaza around 12:30 and head North obeying all speed limits and traffic rules of course. We’ll go to Gretch’s compound to meet up with the Eskimos.

Once at Gretch's we'll organize, check fluids (both in the car and in the Stomach), then head out for a few miles of watching leaves and watching out for Smokey.

* For those that are planning on coming RSVP me at foliage_run@sidv.org I'll get you directions to the Gretch compound if you need it, and my cell phone for emergency contact on the day.

Dude these are American leaves. Canadians have to go through the State Department to get permision to view American leaves during foliage season.

Hmm turns out it might not be so bad. To get from the upper valley I'd head into 91 go north on that, and down 93. Basically the Waterville valley exit.

Derek you may want to consider coming donw 91 too. I forgot that that it was easy to get over to 93 from 91. You'll have to go further east, but it shouldn't be anymore than 3 hours from Montreal or so.

JUst had a thought to induce people to come. Inspiration came from this thread https://rennlist.com/forums/off-topic/297422-top-gear-fans-top-gear-ultimate-driving-experience-soundtrack-download-here.html

Daredevil and I have 53 Top Gear Episodes dating back to 11-2-2003 of varying quality, newest episodes being better quality. THese are the British versions, not the crappy Discovery channel versions.

So for all those attending the Foliage Run, if you bring a portable hard drive or a laptop with enough space (You'll need ~ 18 Gb) while we are all standing around Jaw-Jacking Daredevil and I can transfer the episodes to you. Me doing it at the southern gathering, and Daredevil doing it at the Norhtern Gathering.

Obviously no money can change hands for this, but donations of beverages will be greatly appreciated.

MORE POWER!

PS I just volunreered Daredevil for this, the surprise on his face when he reads this will be classic. Wish I could see it.

That's just not funny. Even I wanted to see the look on my face.

I'll bring the HDD. I'll burn the latest episodes on some DVDs to hand out.
