Default New Dash Cover Vent Solution Prototype

Up till now, I've been trimming the stock defroster vents on the dashes I've been doing. It's time consuming and the margin for error is very, very small.
I've been working on a solution and this is one prototype I came up with.
The dash was stripped, re-padded with engineered foam and one of my regular vinyl covers added

Let me know what you think.

Looks great. Have you considered vents that are more stock looking? Not a bit deal but just a thought.

Hopefully I'll have time to get my dash to you this fall. Would love to have one installed before winter sets in.

Schwiiiinggg!

Looks cleaner than the original vent setup, imo.

Is that plastic?

I've been looking for something that was close to the stock look for a long time. I was going to have a set made but the cost for the tooling was too much.

Rob. Looks great and see no reason to go with original for this.

Any word on early dash yet?

And are you going to do the Early center console? I tried doing it myself but the inside corner is just impossible to do without sewing, and I'm just not capable.

The early dash is still on the bench and I'm not sure if it will ever get finished. I mentioned before in another thread, that it will sell for about $350 and the install will run about $400. It requires quite a bit of stitching and trimming of the dash recesses.

Since the later dash versions sell for a lot less and are not doing all that well, investing more time and money in the early version may not be the thing to do right now so I've put off that decision until the first of the year.
If sales of the later versions pick up this winter and I can recoup some money, I'll consider finishing the early version prototype.

I'm sure I can do a console cover for the early version. All I need is a console to help design a prototype.

WHat is wrong with you late model dash guys. THis thing is BEEEUTIFUL.

The price is also amazing.

This guy should be busier than a one armed paper hanger making these things.

Rob you ever thought of selling them trhough someone like Rennbay. With this and the seats I think it would generate some volume.
