Who is 100% happy with their new Shift Boot?
So my original shift boot is looking a little long in the tooth and it's time for a newie. However, I have read throught a few posts and discovered that not everyone is satisified with their replacements, the main gripe being with a little creasing around the top of the cap arear and a crappy fit.
Therefore I would like to hear from those who are completely satisified with their replacements based on fit and quality of the leather, and from whom they purchsed. I just want to make sure I get the best one first time around rather than enter into a trial and error fiasco.

I was and still am very happy with my AGLA shift boot. Wish my steering wheel had gone as easy - I have to stare at it more than the shifter! LOL

I bought AGLA leather for the boot and the steering wheel from Performance Products. I've used both Agla and Wheelskins products and I like the softer Agla leather better. The boot is easy to put on, don't bother with the glue. Use a rubber mallet to smash the plastic cap back in. Be careful not to break the plastic rectangular frame when installing.
The Agla steering wheel kit took me a few days and required some trimming. Well worth it also.

I got the rennbay boot... I was 99.8426% satisfied... the slightest of wrinkles present under the front of the shift ****... just can't get it out, and it teases my hand when shifting.
Of course I promptly took the interior out
So now I need to find a momo **** and adapter and only run the rubber base since I have no trim for the leather boot. Anyone want to trade for my snazzy stock **** and new rennbay leather boot?

My bro and I bought a wheelskins steering wheel wrap and shift boot. The wheel came out great, and it's been almost 4 years? My bro might chime in later and correct me if wrong. The shift boot on the other hand is terrible. The leather shrank, and it doesn't even get too hot in the San Francisco area in CA... The boot now can not wrap around that piece it's supposed to, and it just sits scrunched on top of the rubber under boot. Looks retarded.
It might've just been one bad boot? But if I personally got a 944, I would not go to Wheelskins for a shift boot.

I put on a Wheelskins shiftboot a few months ago along with a Rennbay shifter insert and so far I love it. I think a lot of people rush the installation and or get frusterated and give up on making it look right. Ask me again in a year or two and we'll see how it holds up.
