Default Shaved my rear light panel on the 951

so last night was the night. Grinded the holes real well and fired up the mig welder. I did ok filling the holes in and took a grinder to both sides- unfortunately the options sticker was right where the holes were drilled so that is gone now. After some good grinding and sanding, filled in the spots on the outside w/ some metalglaze polyeurethane filler, sanded smooth and did some can primer on there. Then i couldnt find any wetsand paper - all at the shop- so i did the steel wool scuf on the primer and sprayed the area between the taillights flat black. Today i got the car inspected, got my title transfered and got a 30day tag for it. Hopefully in the next week or so i'll be getting my apporpriate tags for the car.

I talked to my dad today, he said he could tig up the holes in my bumper as well, so when i get my turbo valance ready to spray "smoke grey" i'll be doing the bumepr as well. All in a days work eh?
Also checked out my new odo gear- working very well!

Removing that panel is something i really want to do, i removed it last week just to see where the holes are. I need to get the holes filled, sanded and painted just like yours.
You might get a visit from me

Seriously though, nice job and make sure you got it ready for the 26th

Looking good Dan, now do the "license plate mod" and get that thing centered!

You flip the license plate bracket around so the license plate sits centered instead of leaning over the little bumper strip

I actually have a rear central panel that looks like this set-up. The panel will allow you to mount the license plate in the original location between the tail-lights.

It is sitting somewhere in the garage of my home in the States. Unfortunately, I am currently in Singapore and do not have a pic to show ya

- i really like the plate in the stock location, the centered plates look awkward to me for some reason. I am going to red out the ambers just like my last car- and erins- no extra reflectors for me thanks.

How long until that clunky rear wiper is replaced with a plug?
