i paid rock to perform favors for the PO, but i was not in the room thank god.

 

Ill wear it, but I dunno if ill be at the taj! Still waiting to get back to VA and hear what the insurance ****** have to say about my car. BoooO!

ANd yeah btw when do I get the money for all of those favors I did ehhh?

Dan the car looks great. It really pisses me off that you paid less for a 951 than I paid for my na. Maybe I 'll come over to the darkside. If I can work a deal like you did.

 

well dont feel too bad, i paid 7500 for my n/a, put another 7k into it and sold it for 6k...def not an investment- unless fun is a tax writeoff?

 

Please consult your tax advisor for the correct tax law interpretation of a 944 NA sale. Although I'm pretty sure Rock can write off his outfit as a work uniform or something!

 

ok got a few things done today as well- no pics camera died- got the odometer gear installed and put some more miles on the car to reflect the actual milage for the car- 49k- took the phone mount off the floor next to the consule, cleaned up the engine bay alittle. More scrubbing to come. I was trying to get the car ready for the out of state inspection tomorrow, so i welded up the holes in the rear pan where the reflector panel was, did some grinding, filling and sprayed the pan semigloss black between the lights. Looks ok, eventually itll be painted the body color but for now it looks much better than holes!

- Took a hammer and a punch and removed the locks that were on the car w/o a key. Not too hard, checked the brakes and amazingly they are almost brand spanking new! Still needs a re-bleed and flush, some odds and ends and itll have belts before the run to the taj, but this belt should still be ok to take up the street to the inspection office. I cant wait til i have new belts and i can actually lay on the gas once...Pics tomorrow after i get some 30day tags!

 

since i sold my wheels today i ordered a few fun things for the car. Stopped by the paint store to pick up some grey paint for the valance im buying, some maroon for the rollbar so it matches nicely. Then i ordered a momo prototipo and adapter for the car- should be in some day. Tomorrow im going to get my cool personal plates, had to wait until the title came back from the BMV.

anyone know how to get ahold of the guy that does the leather dashes? He also makes cool underhood foam pieces that i think im gonna need to cover this up.
