ok so tonite i finally got the nerve up and started tearing into the car- yeah i know after a whole 24hours gee-
I took the rear plate off and its officially for sale although i think someone had dibs i'll have to check my pm's.
while i was back there i hooked up the original license plate lights and whatdyaknow they work! Also did the extra light conversion and added a light per side for running lights- much brighter
- i went on to the drivers door that had the switches falling out and for some reason the window on the ds went up when pressed down and likewise down up..
- i pulled the panel and found the motor in the door had been replaced-looks like the window was broken actually and they had it all apart- but they put the wires on backwards! swapped them and solved that. Also found the speaker was unplugged so stuck that wire on and now all four speakers work. While i was in there i checked to see why my mirrors werent working and it was just a blown fuse. PUt it back together and repaired someones crappy rig holding the panel for the switches in-looks like they didnt know there were screws holding it on and just pulled on it! 
and now it fits right and isnt falling off. Same w/ ps they mesed that one too but its now been repaired.
- then i went to autozone to get a headlight since one side only worked w/ the high beams on. Turns out it was just missing the fuse for the low beam so stuck a fuse in and wala the lights all work- all of them!!! at the same time!!! Same w/ the interior lights that didnt work, just a blown fuse from someone messing around w/ that stupid car phone that i ripped out today. Its gone all but the braket that i need to pull from the floor just under the consule.
- Tomorrow i'll be changing oil, fixing a small coolant leak and pulling it apart for the new belts ive ordered for it, as well as pulling the gauges for the Rennbay ODO gear to go in- looks like the actual mileage is just above 39k but not too much- the guy put 6k on the car in four years according to car fax so im sure the last couple years shouldnt be much more than that. I did find that the car had some body work in the rear quarter as well as the front ps fender has been replaced- they did a good job but it pisses me off that the guy insists its never been wrecked and he only painted it because it was faded- yea right.
also need to install the turbo cat back that i got w/ the white n/a i bought which is perfect since the one on this car is broken right before the valance...pays to keep parts around!

XS - I am rebuilding an IDENTICAL 951 except for the seat material for my dad - same year, same paint, same color interior, wheels, etc.
