Default 1990 s2 needs more power!

Ok, before i get started, i know very similiar questions have been posted ALOT before but i was having trouble finding the info for an s2 as most previous threads are regarind earlier N/A 944's.

I purchased my 944s2 about 2 months ago from japan. Making it an ROW model. The car is beautiul, with hardly any flaws and low milage ( just rolled over 40,000 kms! Im extremely impressed with the car and the comments and looks i get are great for a 16 year old car! BUUUTTTT.... previous to owning a porsche I have had numerous other "quick" cars. Although no other car i have owned handles like my s2, i do miss a bit of the power. now i know everyone is going to probably tell me to buy a turbo, but i really dont want to ( not to mention they are next to impossible to find in canada).

MY QUESTIONS:
Aside form buying a different car ( a turbo) how can i produce more power?
i do not mind spending a good chunk of my paycheck, as this car is treated like a firstborn! and being 18, there isnt really anythign else for me to spend money on.

also what kind of hp numbers have been pushed from the s2 motor?

what numbers would i be looking at if i were properly supercharge/turbo the motor?

I am mechanically inclined and have done my fair share of engine building and performance work on my own vehicles and proffesional race cars.
Once again sorry for posting this question ( i searched for a long time) and thanks for reading my long essay

Chip it, hardly noticeable. Put a 968 head intake and computer on it, good for 30 horsepower and some torque (variocam). Supercharge it (loose A/C.)

AC doesnt work anyways! lol
with a 968 head, computer and a supercharger, what kid of power would i be looking at?

also i heard claims that straight through exhaust with just a performance muffler, k&n filter and this ProMax chip is good for 30 hp too? im doubtfull of this but apparently its been tested

with the mentioned mods above how will an s2 compare to a turbo model?

The 968 head won't match up with the 944S2 block. But if you have $$$ to spend, anything can be done.

Your best bet is to chip it. That will bring you to stock 951 power - ~220hp. Intake is already pretty good on our cars - doing a cone conversion will probably rob the car of a little power. Exhaust can help a little.

Ain't much more you can do with the 944S2 in terms of more power, but you have lots of options in the suspension department...

I contacted the distributor for the 944 S2 Stahl header (Burtonsville Performance) and he told me the car gained 22 horsepower on the dyno with the stahl header and maybe a chip? I dont remember exactly. Call them and find out what was done

Speed force racing supercharger? Of course that costs around what I paid for my turbo...but it'll give you lots more power!

Shame on you. On top of the car being gorgous, the odo just rolled over 40,000 km and its a ROW model. Save the LS1 for a roller someone is parting out.

Yup. SlimFast for both the car and the driver. It's a great reason to get into shape... If I loose my spare tire, I think that would get me to point B a little faster!

Also, you mentioned that your AC wasn't working--was it a full delete, or is it just not working? If you don't want AC, take out the compressor.

Lastly, before you go for HP increase, work on driver skills. The S2 is a fast car in the corners. You won't win any drag races (that's not what the car was made for), but better driver skills will make you faster (and safer).

the AC just doesnt work i belive all it needs is a re-charge. as for the steering wheel, it is on the left side. which is wierd for a japanese vehicle. checked everything and the VIN everything checks out and it is a legit vehicle
