Guys -- the poster is talking about an S2, which basically has the running gear of a 951 (non-S). And let's not hijack this thread to another 'turbo an na' discussion.
Now, back on topic. I agree that you will be destroying the value of the car if you mod -- but then it's your money, so feel free to do as you please. For lots of power fast, supercharge it. For a never-ending money-draining project, do a 3.0l turbo project.
Personally, I'd save your money for the new track that's opening up. I recently estimated the running cost on my car (track fees, gas, tires and pads -- but not including breakables), and I think I'm at around $350 per track day. And you'll start wanting to improve other aspects of the car as well like brakes and suspension.
