As I mentioned in the other thread, I'd rather spin in a hot lap enviroment than burn rubber off roading on hallowed ground! What a CLASSIC clip!!

And yes - I've relaxed my stance on the gimmick Rally. I come from a background that had a fairly strict interpretation of the term "rally". I get even more **** when some one calls a TSD (Time, Speed, Distance) Rally a "race".
I can see how you might be embarrassed puting one of your cars in a ditch. None of my cars are of concours quality. Playing in the dirt is what Team Harco does best.

Hey Guys,
I have to say Fest was the BEST time I've had in a long time. The track time was a blast, I'm hooked....can't wait to get out there again. Dan, thanks again for putting my son into a different run group so we could share the car, he really enjoyed it as well !!
Looking forward to next year, if I can help out in any way, let me know.
Also, a big thanks to all else who helped put this together and make it such a wonderful event.

I've got to put in my $0.44 here too. This got a little long!
Dan is the man, we all know that.
The common thread we share in the 944 series and the gathering that Dan has put on for years now has resulted in some new and valued friends that I would have never known other than a "handle" and post count! Sure, I'm a track junky. Sure, I have a crew of fellow P-car nutz that I see at my regions functions. Sure I met Dan and Cuz earlier at another function. But you know what, it's just not the same as knocking some Liquid Sunshine back with Travis from RennBaaaaaaayyy, or giving Judd944 some hot laps on Friday, or meeting this Campeck (rulez of course) in the flesh... and I finally understand what I have missed in years past! (Fer cryin out loud, Beeg from Australia!)
You know, I think can be explained by stereotyping a little bit. You know, how there are typical "911 owners" and typical "Boxster owners"... not all of them fit the profile, but most do, and they are allright but just not quite the same as us. I think to be a true 944 junky, we have to have a certain personality wiring that seems to make us "click" together.
I think Dan realized this years ago, and decided that others needed to share and participate in this gathering. And now those who know, go to the 944Fest! This gathering of us red-headed Porsche step children has once again reminded me that "it's not the cars, it's the people"!
I have to share that in my Porsche ownership experiences so far since 1997 have all been positive in one way or another... even the mechanical SNAFUs! This gathering topped them all and has kind of "re-kindled" my 944 nutty-ness.
So here is where I say (once again) thank you Dan P. Thanks for having the first BBQ for the local buds, and thanks for having the initiative to build on that and share each year with the rest of the 944 community. Thanks for burning countless hours preparing for the event, thanks for losing sleep over letting us "crazy SOBs" on a track (who spun once again?), thanks for dipping into your pocket up front to make the whole show run... Sir, That generosity and leadership is truly immeasurable...
In my token of thanks, I'd like to offer my future assistance. More than just sharing Melissa for registration and photo ops (lol), helping with the grill and mixing some drinks! I truly look forward to the day you decide to call on me for some help with 944Fest07, I (we) will be there with bells on!

Dan,
Awesome time again! It was good seeing everyone! Everything from Scott @ Team Harco trying to jump the ditch to the beer drinking with old porsche pals was a blast! Well done!
I might take a few more shirts as well Dan just give me the cost with shipping.

Thanks Dan for a great time! This was my first and hopefully NOT my last, lets do it again next year.
I thought I was coming a long way but it can't beat BEEG's 15000 mile haul.

Dan,
PSUice944 (Saab Blue 944?) does a great job of summing up how I am sure most 944Fest attendees feel. It is great to meet other people who share a love for 944/951s. I love camping out at a race track, looking/talking cars, great tunes (thanks Team Harco) and Dortmunder Gold on tap (this could be Heaven) to refresh myself. I too would consider it a privilege if you would delegate some respondsiblity for next years Fest to me. I only live 45 minute from the track and I don't work in the summer (teacher) so I have plenty of free time to help you out. Take some of the burden off yourself and spread it around to people (like me) that are willing to help.
