Exclamation !!!! Door Lock Emergency

Ok, so here is my problem... My Driver's side door is locked and will not unlock. I have used the Key and don't want to force it, and the inside pop-up thinggy will not pull up either.

Cause: I've been playing with my central locking today. It hasn't worked since I bought my '86 Turbo, however, I found that the fuse was blown so I'd try it out. Once that was done, the passenger door worked fine by itself. Motor is good. Drivers door however would not move, but the motor would hold the door locked if locked manually. Once the ignition key was turned off, both doors would move manually and individually. However, now the drivers door is locked (and closed cause I am an idiot), and I can't unlock it.

Need Help with this:
1) Any Ideas on how to unlock the drivers door?
2) Where is the central locking computer?
3) Any ideas on where to get a new motor (drivers door)
4) Could this possibly be a sensor/relay failure? If so which one(s)?

Thanks,
-Mac

Go to passenger side and get in.....
Rear hatch....
No spare keys?
First step after you get in....get a spare set.

Do you have a factory alarm?
Once you get in, pull the door panel and observer how it does or does not work...

I have seen the mechanism in the passenger door, but my next trick will have to be removing the driver door panel with it closed. I'll try it and see...

If you are inside, first try your central locking switch several times, secondly put tension on the drivers side **** and pull up while doing that. Worse comes to worse you can take off the plastic cover for the rod and pull up on it with some force.

Thanks Testarossa, I tried that earlier and have been forced to remove the door panel. I can't get the panel all the way off, but I can pop a few clips so I can try and remove the pin holding the plastic arm from the motor to the locking mechanism. Well, here I go...

Ok, I got it. Whew what a PITA. Thanks for the info guys. I think after that, I'll stick to my good ol' key and fingers so in a few days I'll be selling my locking motors (less weight anyway). Anyone know where the computer and relays are?

Their is a small box attached to the steering column which has two relays in it. I once removed it and openned the box and those relays activated the door switches.

Ok guys, I removed the motor from each door. One doesn't move at all, the other moves freely. I am going to test them once it stops raining, however I think only one works. Anyone want it?

IIRC The whole setup is the column mounted controler/relay, the illuminated console switch, two micro switches on the actual door handles(one each-very delicate) and the actual actuators one for each door...as well as the mounting plates if you want to count them

So if you are cleaning the whole setup there is a list...I am sure I missed something
