Sunroof
I have a 86 944 n/a that i bought in August and the woman that i bought it from sealed up the sunroof. I have taken it to body shops around where I live but they say they can't do anything about it. So where could i take it to get it fixed and about how much would it cost.

i think it would be easy to repair. just chip away where it had been covered over, then repair all the marks you made, paint it, get a new seal or w/e it needs and your good. a bunch of work, but it seems like it would be pretty easy to fix. in fact do most of the dirty work yourself, and tell the paint shop to smooth it over and paint it and your good.

I love clutch jobs... if you're thinking what I'm thinking.
Why would anyone seal up a sunroof if it was working? I bet if you try to get the sunroof to work, you'll find it is broken and will become more broken as you try futzing with it. Ignore it and keep truckin'. In fact I'd say to start deleting all the sunroof hardware and equipment for weight savings.

The only reasons I can think of to seal the thing up are leaking or mechanical problems either way, it could be a difficult expensive fix. Likley there is body filler in all the drain holes and you could be in for some serious water problems if you try to get it back to stock....
I've had leaky t-tops in a car before and once you get a leak trying to track it down is a nightmare. 4 years and I never resolved the leak in that car....
