will they order parts for you as well? I'm in desperate need of a gas door should they be able to order it, or should I look in junkyards?

I probably have a used gas door you can have for cheap. What car do you need it for?

I am sure they will. On this item, I would check with the salvage yards for a better price.

maybe, but odds are there's an independent shop that will probably do a better job not too far away. And independent shops don't charge porsche dealer prices

I was at a Dallas dealer (Boardwalk Porsche) and they are great. I didnt need any service done, just a few small parts and a question. The shop foreman said he loves the 944 and they are such solid cars that his 19 year old daughter drives one!!! He also was building an S2 motor. He was a super nice guy and VERY knowledgable.

Mine does... they touch mine occasionally, when I screw up 2 times... (that's my thing... screw up twice, send it to the factory trained tech)... there is ONE guy there who I'll have work on my car, and drive it... and they respect that... which is nice. (I also tell em NOT to wash it... they've killed a couple wheels of mine with their wheel acid).

but yeah. call and ask. Labor at my place is around $110 per hour... and I get the employee discount from when I worked there in high school... so IIRC, for everyone else, it's around $125/hr

The shop around these parts use them as an instuctional tool. The only guy I talked to who takes his there is pleased by the service quality, but not the bill.
