Question Sun visors.....Arrghh!

My driver's side sun visor is driving me nuts! Is there a fix for a loose floppy visor short of replacement? And on top of that, now the clip on my passenger visor has broken! Anybody got one they can spare?
Thanks!

John

I just bought the bracket for my passenger side for $4.00 on SpeedyCarParts.com, thats if thats the part your looking for, you may also want to buy other stuff so you can get the free shipping. ($50.00 or more)

There oughta be a way to "tighten" up exisiting sun visors....wedge in a piece of thin plastic or something?

I tried to fix the drivers side in mine when it got sloppy about 4 years ago--tried wedging shims into it, wrapping the post with tape/etc. etc. it may have held for a day or 2 then back to slop. the solution for me was to buy a used one from 944 ecology.

Mine are OK, but starting to droop a little when I use them to hold my dash sun visor. Why are Porsche visors droopy, when my dad's 1990 Honda visors work fine??

Tighten the three screws that hold down the pivot point of the visors and that should resolve the floppy visor problem. It worked for me.

Didn't work for me, I then took it apart and from memory, I don't think anything can be done, the end of the visor has a small pin that inserts into the pivot and both parts are worn. So aside from replacing it I went the velcro direction.

Velcro works great except that when I do need the visor, when the sun is right in front of me, it also drops, I have to constantly push it back toward the window.
