Holy crap.. this car is located near where i work. I may have to ask the owner if i can inspect it.... . Maybe take a test drive!

Really? That's odd seeing as how it has a single throttle body. Are the other 3 sitting in the driver's seat?

If I remember correctly, 968 Turbo S and RS both used the same 8V head as the 944's. Also, as Joe pointed out earlier, this isn't an actual Turbo S or RS, but rather an aftermarket conversion.... Still, this is an awesome car.. .

Actually it is a real Turbo RS chassis. They used the 8v drivetrain because the series they originally ran in was HP limited, but not torque limited so they wanted as much down low as possible.

So that is why they did that? I had read somewhere that somebody high up in the food chain at Porsche Said the 8 V flowed enogh that they did not want to mess with the 16V head.

Hummmm interesting.
