Default Extreme makeover-Rock's 951 Edition, has started...

Rock is back in Cincy to do an extreme makeover at the XSBoost car spa.
Kinda like pissin' into a strong headwind indeed, but it seems, for the moment, the results will be noteworthy.

I stopped by this morning and did my duty as " food bitch", and will return this evening to get some photos.

Call it a pound, fill, prime and paint "fest" with a 15 hour window.

I was impressed considering the hood was painted prior in a manner just short of a Rhino Lining.

Your comment on the hood paint is interesting. Mine has been painted the same way!
Was this common a few years back?

15 hours to make over Rocks 951?

Are we talking the whole car or just the nose panel?

Well, it's not like there is a hood to paint - that should shave off a couple hours.......

You folks have no faith. (but, mine kinda wore out after Rock's sunroof went flying on I-75 with my old sunroof seal attached...)

15 hours netted a dent free painted and fixed nose, hood, facia and fenders. Basically the whole front clip.
The original hood many months back was repainted by someone not familiar with a HVLP gun. A monkey with a roller could have done better.
XSBoost will post more tomorrow I'm sure. It's the shizznit tho. Wowsa!

well for some reason my camera sucks *** today but here we go. I told him we had one day to paint it- well i have to re-assemble it tomorrow- but basically sand down the grip paint hood, nose, fenders etc, fix all the dings and dents in the fenders, move the crest in the nose to the right spot, sand down the bumper and fix the large gash in the front, and get it all in primer, sanded and sprayed tonite. Its painted- not a concours job for sure but it looks way better than before. I left a few dings in it to remind him of the good times but i would say in 15 hours that is to be expected. More pics tomorrow after its buffed and assembled.

Damn, looks like I just missed you again Jerry......I had a "delivery" to drop off at Mama Boost's house.

Rock told me this hood had survived not one but TWO fires.......
