Default Gas Mileage Gauge

Does anyone besides me have the gas mileage gauge that reads in kilometers/litre?

I've only seen MPG gauges on other cars. My car is the only one I've ever seen with this.

Just curious.

I have that as well. My 944 is originally from Canada. My entire dash is in metric units.

It is fun driving in KPH without knowing how many MPH your going.

I have a normal MPH speedometer. But I suspect my car is from Canada too. There is a sticker in the engine bay that has the Canadian flag on it. That's probably why.

I've driven in Europe and know the feeling. Found myself doing 100 MPH without realizing it until I did the math later on.

just do a little quick multiplication: Take your reading in km/l, multiply by 3.8 to get km/gal, them divide by 1.6 to get miles/gal. Should be simple enough to do in your head while driving in traffic... (JK)

Matt.. i believe a car from Canada puts you into modified.......

Did you see the results yet? We need to step up our game!

If it bothers you enough (the gauge), you can always swap the tach out with one from an American car.

I don't think I have enough fingers and toes to do that.

Don't tell anyone!!!!

Ugh...don't talk to me about the results. My worst autox this year. We are tied in overall points now.

I don't really care about the gauge that much. Not like I use it. If I do swap, I'd just get a tachometer with no gas mileage gauge.

Or maybe one from a turbo. I could watch the boost gauge go up and down instead.

Is it really km/l? My old car (which was a Canadian market car) had the gauge in l/100km (or l/hr while below something like 20 km/h, read along the top of the gauge), which is the usual SI measure for fuel consumption. Makes the conversion a little more difficult.

Only the '85.5 and '86 models has the fuel economy gauge.

Unless your car was a M404 optioned car it wont have a rear sway either.

You're right it's l/100km. My mistake.
