Default Props to Magnecor!

While working on the car, I accidentally cut one of the spark wire shields (not deeply but enough to change it before it wants to arc) :banhead: . I have the Magnecor KV85 wires so I tried browsing their website for a local stocking retailers. I couldn't find any so I called the number on their website.
As it turns out, they do direct selling. Not only that but they would be happy to sell just the one wire I need.
I don't know if I should be but I found that to be pleasantly surprising. I thought I'd have to buy a whole set. $18 beats $80 any day! I even picked up a couple of the wire clamps for the 8.5mm wires.

Just wanted to relay a good experience with customer service. Since some of the site sponsors sell/stock Magnecor, buy with confidence that good CS comes with it.

Just affiliated, just happy...

http://www.magnecor.com/magnecor1/main.htm

I've been to their facility before. The owner is the guy that sometimes answers the phone and sometimes assembles the wires. Really good quality and outstanding service.

Good to know, i just bought a set for my car and im pretty happy thus far. Glad i made the right choice! And you cant beat the cost savings over the other ones, about $40 cheaper.

I read about some people having problems with the magnecore connectors being way too tight. To the point where they rip off when you try and take the wire off the plug. I opted to Lindsey's wires, I think they are a magnecore wire, but with the Beru connectors.

Well that's good then. I would assume they were around the same price as the Lindsey wires. I just opted to choose the Lindsey 1200degree wires. Like I said, I believe it's a magenecore wire, but it has the Beru connectors which seal very nicely.

I looked at those to as they seem like a very reasonable option.

The factory spark plug leads use a single solid wire conductor, which has very little resistance. Because of this they use the resistor type Beru ends to achieve a level of resistance, I believe to suppress EMI. The type of conductor folks like Lindsey and Magnecor use is multi strand and inherently has resistance, enough to suppress EMI. So basically you are kind of getting overkill on the resistance with the Lindsey leads.
