Angry Look what happened today!

On the way home from school on I-235 in OKC I had the pleasure of having a huge piece of wood thrown into the front of the car! 70 mph and bouncing along the ground. A black grand-am ran over the wood and if I had been 30 ft closer the wood would have gone through my windshield. There were cars to the left, right and behind me so I just had to take it.

I am going to start getting estimates tomorrow.

That sucks. I'm sorry to see that on a white rag top P-car. The only good news is that you can have new fog lenses and no more rock chips on the lower valance. A friend of mine is in OKC and will be able to point you in the right direction for repair. Shoot me a PM and I'll send his number, or you car goto www.worldwidemusclecars.com and contact Mike. Tell him Mark in Mississippi gave you his number.

Good luck with the repair.

Sorry about that. Same thing happened to me in my old 2nd gen Rx7. The good news is that you can put a whole new bumper cap on there and make it good as new. I had to fight with my insurance a bit, but they did agree to pay for a new bumper cap in my case (highway truck pulled off the road in front of me and plowed over a line of orange cones, sending them all bouncing in front of me at highway speed).

Wow, your fog light looks exactly like mine. Only mine was a pipe off the back of a truck on a bridge.

I was too busy feeling sick to my stomach when I hit that thing, that I didn't even notice what it did after I hit it. It was in an area where the huge blocks are on both sides of the interstate and who knows how many others hit that thing.

hmm OKC sucks, last year when driving down to AZ, i went though OKC and its a nice hot day no rain, then up ahead i see a puddle of water and this truck goes through it spraying it up onto my car (i wasn't driving my p-car) turns out it was horse ****! Literally! the whole front of my blue car turned yellow, and a horrible stench came through the vents, i took the next exit and since i was low on cash i used the windshield washer things they have at the gasoline stores and began to clean off the whole car. it was terrible. sorry for the somewhat OT

When that happens from a big commercial dump/trash truck, ESPECIALLY in NY/CT, get the company name and contact the owner of the truck.

Tell them you are going to call federal motor carrier admin (888-877-2181)
These guys are very serious. They inspect my trucks religiously because I have Fed DOT.

I am sick of these mother-****ers killing people and making it impossible to register my damn trucks!!!!!

Thought I would give an update on the car... I got 3 estimates $2461, $3419, and $2624 the $3419 was with a grossly overstated price for the lower rubber cover ($1186) that is more than the front bumper cover!
I talked to an adjuster and he wants to do the estimate on his own so I will be meeting with him
sometime this week.

You can buy a new aftermarket front bumper cover and have it painted for less than those estimates..
