Bill,
Unless you are planning to hit the track (didn't see your name on the list) - I doubt your rear pads will be an issue on the road to and from. You will definitely want them in time for the track day at Waterford Hills.
On the meet-up: I'm leaving my dentist's office near I-75 and Sashabaw after my appointment. If it's better for you, I guess I could roll back through Waterford and then shoot down to I-275. (Guess I had forgotten about the I-75 vs I-275 thing). PM your address if you want me to stop by your place and we can go from there. Plus - if we do that, it will give me a chance to stop by my house to grab the inevitable forgotten items.

There will be plenty of straglers left through to Sunday AM. Too bad you can't get back in time for the posse.

I should be around the I-80/I-280 Interchange around 6:00-6:30 at Libbey Road. Actually I think I have gotten off there before. Which Gas Station are you guys talking about (Shell, Mobil, Sunoco, etc)?

At 420 and Libbey rd, there are two travel plazas - on the East side is a Mickey D's, and I believe the gas there is BP and Mobil. On the West side is a smaller place, independent or a minor chain. I don't recall the name right now. I'd suggest stopping there. Just across the parking lot is a former Wendy's resteraunt where we could gather for a bit and nobody will bother us.
Charlie - If you're getting off I-80 to join us, you want to head to 420 South out of the toll plaza. Libbey road is the first light - just a couple hundred yards S of I-80. It doesn't really look much like a road. Everything is right there.

Scott, yes the 835 number is my cell. I'm still down for caravaning with you guys, but I might be pretty tired! Still working on wrapping up the repairs. If you guys are going down 275, I'll drive over to meet you there, approx 5:30?

Bill and I will be leaving Waterford, hopefully, a little before 5:00. We'll have to push to get to the rendezvous spot by 6:00. May be closer to 6:30.
Oops - looks like Bill might not be able to go afterall. Dan and J - let me know if there is a place you want to meet up at along I-275. Figure about 5:30ish.
See you guys there.

Yeah, unfortunately I couldn't get Friday off and won't be able to caravan down. I'm going to try and make it down Friday after work instead.
Have a fun trip without me

Scott, I can't really think of anyplace that's good to stop and meet along 275 (easy on/off). I'm thinking of just waiting near the 7-mile onramp, And if you give me a call when you hit 8-mile, then I just catch up with you guys on the road. If you go by earlier - don't wait for me - I'll catch up with you at Libbey rd (or before) If you think you're going to be much later than 5:30, give me a shout and we'll figgure out what to do.
Dan, If you'd like, we can meet in the Unigraphics building parking lot - it's right on the South West corner of 7-mile and 275, and it will be easy to roll onto the freeway from there. I'll try to get there by 5:15-5:20. (I'll be the guy with the 944). I'll PM you my cell number.
Charlie, I'll give you a shout when were 15 min or so away from Libbey road. Like Scott mentioned, in all likelyhood, it'll be closer to 6:30.

OK. I will call Dan before I leave the house to provide ETA to I-275 and 7 Mile (no cell). If we don't see each other there - figure the Libbey Road stop for food/ fuel.
See you soon!

Hey everyone from last year,
I'll be there on Friday. Remember that mysterious dusty white 944 with no sunroof that was sitting in my parking garage last year? (You know, the one with the P O R S C H E decal on the windshield, the "PORSCHE" license plate frame, and the expired 2002 license plate that said "GOT PRSH" ???) You will see it at Nelson's on Friday. A friend of mine bought it, and just last night gave it new tires and sway bars as a last-minute prep. His name is Jack and he will be one of the instructors tomorrow.
As it turns out, that car is a three-owner car with full service history from day one, and has been very well-maintained throughout its life. No salt ever, no accidents ever, and only a little bit of touchup for paintwork. Turned out to be a real gem of a find! At 106k miles, it looks more like a 60-70k mile car. It still has the original clutch, and he is expecting the rubber disk to give up the ghost at Nelson's tomorrow!
Scott -- give me a quick ring at the office: 419-726-2000 today. I was planning to leave early in the morning tomorrow, but now am thinking about following you guys. Oh, by the way, I have a house now, with a 23'x23' garage!!! Fits all three cars!
Oh, and I'm, uh, not going to be in the 944 tomorrow -- I'm taking the red Lotus, because Saturday is British Car Day . . .
