951 extinction
Think of Barrette Jackson 30 years from now. A 951 will command $$$$. Look at all those muscle cars from the 60's and 70's at those auctions and the prices they are selling for. If you have the means to store one of these vehicles, it may pay off big time if you wait it out.

Just my .02 of course, but I still think there are plenty of them around that prices are not suddenly going to shoot up - maybe one day, but that day is quite far off.

My dad used to drag race a 57 Chevys back when he was younger. I can barely remember the second one he had. I have always wanted one. So back when I was in high school, it was the early eighties, my dad found one in good shape for about $1500. I think it was that much. Now one in that shape is worth about $30 to $35K. As time goes by there will be fewer and fewer 944's. As with most things the fewer there are the more they are worth. I doubt if 944's will ever be in as much demand as 57 Chevy's, and that has alot to do with the price of one, but who know's what they will be worth in 20 years.

Hey if someone wans to save a 951 just donate it to me. I can see it know "The Save a 951 Foundation." But seriosly anyone in the nw who doesnt want a 951 give it to me. I love the 944's they are truly a thing of buety, its a wonder their as amazingly cheap as they are.

The 87 has the normal pistons. The 88 has the ROW or higher compression pistons. the 88 is gonna feel faster.
12 years is a big difference too. Your new car is probally tired from vacuum leaks, and worn shizzle. get a tune up going and check for some vaccum leaks.

Do it several times in both directions. Try some fresh high octane gas too.

I'm still looking for a 944,and have been looking at prices. There is a wide range on prices. While type, year, miles, and quality all effect price, location also seems to as well. The west coast with so many 944s drives the market down.It also would appear out of the way places have lower prices.? the lower demand. The free market at work supply and demand,or I just might be smokin' crack.I don't think to many cars will be like the 57 Chevy.I dought there will ever be that high of a demand for the 944 by a large number of people.
