So Dan and Cuz,

I suppose my street cred will be bumped up since I will be leaving my VW at home this time?

No more of that bring a real car mess! And Dan, you can't keep Meilssa too busy, she has some lap times to get you know...

I am planning on being there with one of my cars. I am not registered for the track ( too late, sigh). I WILL bring my helmets in case anyone needs them.

I did not run Nelson last year but ran it in 05 in a Mini during the cannonball run. The track surface is MUCH improved but far from smooth and perfect still. It WAS good enough that i was able to take the KINK flat out and the little jog right at the end of the grandstand stretch only required me to tap the brakes with the left foot to settle the car, though i suspect some of the faster cars will have to lift slightly to get around it with the front still on the dark stuff.

~Chris, I'll be sure to station Melissa where she can see the front straght, so she can greet and keep time all at once. . I really, really appreciate her help, I need to delegate as much as possible to keep my sanity through the weekend. Blue 944s get SERIOUS street cred at this event!

Expuppy, how much driving experience do you have? Have you been solo'd on Nelsons? I can fit a few more advanced drivers in, I just don't have enough instructer caliber attendees to let any more novices sign up. I need to keep close to a 1:1 instructor/student ratio.

If you have any in-car video you could post a link to, that would be helpful to us "never-beens."

Here is some recent Nelson's footage. http://media.putfile.com/nelsonschoolmay20
Not the best view (low roof in the way) but you can get a feel for it.

Cool, thanks. Looks like I'll be softening up the shocks a bit for that one.

Thanks Dan for all your efforts and for posting that link. I was wondering what the track was like and that answered it.

I'm in the novice run group, sorry no pics of my car but if you can picture a standard guards red NA with D90 wheels then you get the picture.

Comming from Canada for my first 944 Fest and hoping to meet all of you.

Also, reminder to all track particpants to start getting your tech sheets filled out and faxed in now. Don't wait until the last minute to do this, and it will make things go a lot smoother for everyone.

Regards,
