Rear rotors not coming off. (HELP)
I have a 87 Porsche 924S. I am having trouble getting the rear rotors off. Does anyone have any tips for getting them off? How does everyone get those phillips screws out?

Make sure you release the parking brake.

To get the screws out, go to Sears and get their "screw out" kit. They are bits that go into an electric drill, they dig into the screw while turning it. It hasn't failed me yet in removing difficult screws. $9.99 on sale, $19.99 regular price. You can probably locate them as well at home improvement stores and possibly auto parts stores.
It's one of those $10 tools that will save you mucho grief on future projects, great to have in the tool box.

Sears also sells impact screw drivers. You hit the end of the it with a hammer, and it will break any screw loose. Also, a screwdriver bit in a 1/4" rachet and socket works on the less stubborn ones.

SECOND PorscheDoc. $25 at Sears. Basically a poor-mans impact wrench. It turns linear force into rotational force. You'll be able to use it again and again. They also sell different bits. No affiliation

Just went through this a week or two ago.
To remove the screws: 3/16" drill bit. After doing it once, it was so easy I didn't even try on the other screws. Don't bother replacing the screws, they're not needed.
To remove the rotors: I bought a 3lb hammer and used a lot of penetrating oil. I also found hammering a flat-head screwdriver into the gap between the rotor & hub (inside lip of rotor), worked as well.

Thanks a lot guys. I got the rear rotors off. Now I have a new challegne the new pads don't exactly fit right on the calipers. Meaning that little bump on the opposite side of the piston that pad won't line up with the hole in the pad. Hard to explain, but I am about to give someone a case a beer to help me finish this job. I have been working on this for about 8 hours now. Still not finished. Thanks Porsche. Sorry just venting a little. I did the brakes on my neon in about 30 mins. Granted I didn't bleed them, but still it wasn't half this badd. If anyone in the STL area is free on wednesday Evening let me know I will get you a case of beer of your choice if you help me out. Thanks again.
